I didn’t set out to become a doula.
I became a mother young, surrounded by women who knew how to care for me, not just physically, but spiritually and emotionally. My own mother and grandmother wrapped me in warmth, nourished me with healing foods, and taught me how to rest and receive.
At the time, I thought that was just what mothers did. Now I know, that was sacred care.
That was my first glimpse into postpartum healing the way it was always meant to be: slow, intentional, and deeply rooted in tradition.
For nearly 20 years, I worked as a surgical technologist in hospitals across Las Vegas, with a large part of my career spent inside labor and delivery units. I’ve been at the table, in the room, behind the curtain, supporting birthing families in their most vulnerable moments.
But my true calling came five years ago when I supported my cousin through her second birth. She was planning a VBAC, and her doctor was skeptical. But I knew what her body could do, and I stood beside her every step of the way. Watching her birth her daughter, confidently and without complication, reminded me:
Support changes outcomes.
Belief shifts everything.
And no one should have to do this alone.
That was the day I realized I had been a doula all along.
Through Nonna’s Nest, I offer the kind of support that’s been passed down through generations, now blended with the medical insight I’ve gained over the years.
I provide birth and postpartum care that’s personalized, grounded, and nourishing, physically, emotionally, and culturally. Whether I’m helping you create a birth plan, offering hands-on labor support, preparing warm meals, or helping you navigate feeding and recovery, I’m there to hold space and remind you of your strength.
My clients describe me as calm, reassuring, and clear. They know I’ll advocate for them, walk with them, and show up fully, every time.
Supporting families as they welcome new life is the deepest honor. And I believe that when parents are held with intention, they raise children from a place of peace, not survival.
That’s why Nonna’s Nest exists.
It’s about belonging, nourishment, and restoration. It’s about remembering that care is a birthright, not a luxury.
If you’ve been looking for a doula who brings wisdom, warmth, and clinical experience to your birth journey, I’d be honored to serve your family.
