You've Got Questions.

Let’s Make This Simple

Hiring a doula is a big decision.

Whether you're brand new to this or you've had support before, it's normal to have questions. Below are some of the most common ones I hear from families, if you don’t see yours, feel free to reach out directly.

What’s the difference between a doula and a midwife?

A doula provides emotional, physical, and informational support before, during, and after birth, but we don’t perform any clinical tasks. Midwives provide medical care. Think of your doula as the calm, steady presence focused entirely on you, your partner, and your experience.

Do you attend hospital births?

Yes. I support births in hospitals, birth centers, and at home. My role is the same in all environments, to help you feel informed, empowered, and cared for. I’m familiar with many of the Las Vegas-area hospitals and providers, and I work respectfully alongside your chosen birth team.

What if I already have a supportive partner?

Beautiful, my work complements your partner’s role, not replaces it. I guide and reassure both of you, offering suggestions, hands-on support, and emotional grounding so your partner can be present without pressure to know everything.

When should I hire a doula?

The sooner the better. I typically book several months in advance, so reaching out early gives us time to build trust and prepare together. That said, if you’re later in your pregnancy and looking for support, reach out, I’ll do my best to accommodate you.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes. I believe this kind of support should be accessible, so I offer flexible payment plans for all packages. Let’s talk about what works for your family.

What if I don’t know what kind of support I need yet?

That’s completely normal. Part of my job is to help you figure that out. During your free consultation, we’ll talk through your goals, your birth vision, and what kind of care would feel most supportive.

Do you offer postpartum-only support?

Yes. If you've already given birth and are looking for help with recovery, feeding, or newborn care, I offer stand-alone postpartum support (based on availability). Feel free to reach out to discuss options.

Is this covered by insurance?

While most insurance doesn’t yet cover doula support directly, many families use HSA/FSA funds. I’m happy to provide a detailed receipt you can submit for reimbursement.

Will we meet in person before the birth?

Yes. Every package includes prenatal visits so we can prepare together and build the relationship you deserve to feel supported on your big day.
